Even with the ‘Dragon Warrior’s fame now spread throughout China, after defeating formidable foes like Shen and Tai Lung, two things don’t change. Po’s love for dumplings and his ‘father’s incredible possessiveness.
With elaborate flashbacks, witty dialogues, fun encounters and some thrilling kung-fu, all packaged in one hilarious adventure, Kung Fu Panda 3 is one not to miss.
Jack Black who never fails to be oh-so-annoying in all his live-action films just aces his role as the lovable Panda. Bryan Cranston’s Li takes us to a whole new world of Pandas, all as wobbly, plump and adorable as Po. I personally would suggest a towel when Po says “Just like me…”
Anjelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen and David Cross have a smaller role in this film as compared to its predecessors but do a fine job nevertheless. James Hong and Dustin Hoffman give us the much needed non-comic relief in the film and JK Simmons as Kai is the best villain till date. Randall Duk Kim reprises his role as the wise turtle Oogway and the supporting cast do a fair job.
A fun film in the lines of its predecessors with it’s fair share of flashbacks and backstories it is a fun one time watch and one kids will simply adore. Ornate action scenes make a 3D show a treat, the story is simply beautiful although the plotline seems repetitive and predictable.
With know thyself, inner peace, and chi already mastered one can only wonder what’s in store next for the Dragon Warrior to learn if at all the makers decide to do another sequel.
One can only speculate…
